• Jewelry – costume and fine, contemporary, vintage and antique. For fine jewelry, if you have an appraisal, regardless of how old, please bring it to your consignment appointment.

• Everything must be cleaned and pressed, in excellent condition and in season

Sorry, we do not accept lingerie, sleepwear, bathing suits or exercise clothes, or men's and children's wear. We are especially picky about shoe condition and accept only new or virtually unworn.

Designing Women Boutique specializes in designer fashions and we are very choosy about label, condition, style, seasonality and appropriateness for our clientele. If you bring us something for which we feel our shop is not the right place, we will be happy to refer you elsewhere or to take the items as a donation, give you a receipt and send them on to another charity.

Consignment Terms

• Appointment required; call the shop 941-366-5293 to schedule
• Items must be cleaned and pressed, in excellent condition and in season
• Designing Women Boutique sets pricing and marks down at our discretion.
• Consignment split is 50/50 consignor/shop. There is a $1.50/item processing fee.
• It may be possible to make special arrangements for high value or unique items; please inquire.
• Consignment period is 60 days at the end of which consignor or their representative has five days to pick up unsold items or they become a donation to the shop without exception. Your pick-up date is clearly marked on your consignment sheet.
• If you have more than five unsold items to pick up, please make an appointment to do so.
• We will locate your items for you for a fee of $1.00/item
• Checks are written by the 10th of the month for sales in the prior month and must be picked up. Phone the shop to see if you have a check. Unclaimed checks will be void after 90 days.
• Designing Women Boutique is not responsible for loss or damage to consignment merchandise.

Donation

We accept donations at any time; no appointment is required

• The same merchandise standards apply as for consignment
• We will be happy to donate items that are not suitable for our shop to other organizations and give you a receipt for same for tax purposes
• On request, an itemized list of items suitable for sale in the shop will be provided. For items that we donate on, we provide only a generic receipt.
• We encourage you to donate!
