Founding Board Member Alyce Kalin died in September of 2006 and her loss is keenly felt by her many friends and admirers.  The shop is honored that her estate chose to donate many of her things to us.  Alyce will always be remembered as a woman of enormous talent, energy and commitment and recognized as a Sarasota style icon of the first order.  Her memory is honored in the shop by the naming of a salon in her honor and by the Alyce B. Kalin Honorarium, a Designing Women Boutique grant that will be named in her honor every year.
